Puneites NOW get a Golden opportunity to witness a mesmerizing LIGHT AND SOUND SHOW at the NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL along with a visit to the SOUTHERN COMMAND MUSEUM near Ghorpadi, Pune.

Pune has had a rich warrior culture and has been a home to well known warriors since time immemorial. Recently, since 1st November 2019, Headquarters, Dakshin Maharashtra and Goa Sub Area has started organizing a LIGHT AND SOUND SHOW at National War Memorial, Ghorpadi, Pune on EVERY Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. The show has been conceptualized and implemented as a joint civil military venture.

The show is open for ALL.

It will definitely inculcate national spirit in every Indian citizen. It will be an inspiration, especially for the children and youth and will motivate them to join the armed forces.

What can you expect in the LIGHT AND SOUND SHOW?

45 minutes of scintillating audio visual extravaganza highlighting stellar contribution of the Indian Army from independence till date in the field of operations training, disaster response and nation building.

Apart from the Light and Sound show, you may also plan to experience the wreath laying parade (on Saturdays only) and visit the Museum at the Memorial.


Light and Sound Show:
Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6.45 to 7.30 pm (in winters)

Wreath Laying parade to commemorate sacrifices of valiant men:
Every Saturday from 5.30 pm to 6 pm (in winters).

Museum showcasing History of Indian Army and acts of valour of gallant warriors of the Nation:
Open on all days except Tuesday from 9.30 am to 8 pm.

Charges: Entry tickets to the Museum as well as the show are a nominal rate of Rs. 20/- per head.
